Below Deck: Captain Lee Rosbach is such a breath of fresh air!
By Amanda Cline
Below Deck is back on My Seanna with Captain Lee Rosbach leading the crew, and it seems he has a strong group of workers behind him this season.
Below Deck is back, baby! This season, Captain Lee Rosbach is joined by bosun Eddie Lucas, chef Rachel Hargrove, chief stewardess Francesca Rubi, stewardess Elizabeth Frankini, stewardess Isabelle “Izzy” Wouters, deckhand James Hough, and deckhand Shane Coopersmith. There is also another Shane, but he ends up leaving pretty quickly.
The crew is back on My Seanna in the Caribbean just before the global pandemic hit. Filming for this season started in February and most of the world shut down in March, so that should add an extra layer of drama to the show.
Even into the first few minutes, Captain Lee is such a breath of fresh air compared to Captain Sandy Yawn last season. While we started out rough with Lee injuring himself and landing in the hospital for a bit, the group seems to be getting along okay. Cheif stew Francesca is from Sydney and has an accent just like our recently departed Hannah Ferrier. She even sounds like her if you aren’t paying attention!
Stew Izzy and deckhand Shane both seem into yoga, meditation, and other calming things, which definitely means they will either hook up or cause a lot of trouble. Elizabeth seems a little slow on the uptake and making drinks, but we have faith in her. James appears to enjoy small shorts and women which is a dangerous combination.
Eddie and Francesca appear, at first glance, to be good leaders. We know Eddie from previous seasons of Below Deck and he was able to hold it together while Lee was in the hospital. Chef Rachel pulled out some insane dishes right off the bat. She is a bit unorthodox in personality, but who cares when she can cook?
The first set of charter guests are returning guests and can sense that things are a little off. The primary charter guest even jumped in to help make espresso martinis! Of course, the crew hates that. And please, if you have any “drugs,” give them to Captain Lee before your sneaky roommate does it for you.
Below Deck is on Bravo Monday nights at 9 PM ET!
