RHOC: Did Vicki Gunvalson and Steve Lodge break up?

Vicki Gunvalson and Steve Lodge have been together since 2016, but did the couple break up after she left The Real Housewives of Orange County?

Vicki Gunvalson has been busy since her departure from The Real Housewives of Orange County, but fans are speculating that she and Steve Lodge might have recently broken up.  The couple has not been very active on social media lately, and they even unfollowed each other on Instagram.   Vicki last posted a photo with Steve on Sep. 23 down in Mexico after they bought a condo down there.  Steve last posted a video with Vicki in it around the same time.

Vicki noted that she was looking to buy a home in North Carolina in order to be closer to her grandchildren in addition to the home in Puerto Vallarta.  She sold her California home and headed south!  Vicki and Steve were set to get married sometime this year but pushed the wedding back due to the pandemic.  They did not seem to have a new date chosen which isn’t unusual given everything that is going on, but is it because they have decided against getting married?

Is it possible that Vicki and Steve only got engaged for the show?  Sure, but why would someone like Steve go along with that?  It was clear he didn’t enjoy being on the show and that he didn’t enjoy having Vicki on the show.  On her Whoop It Up with Vicki podcast recently, Vicki said she felt that Steve was partly to blame for her firing because he was boring.

“I think Bravo might have thought of him as ‘He’s bringing Vicki’s personality down.’ I might have blamed him a couple of times,” she said on an episode back in August.  Not to mention, she hasn’t released a new episode since August 20th.  Steve was always on the pod with her, so is this another sign that there is trouble in paradise?

Vicki did speak to Us Weekly and said that the rumors were “a complete joke,” but are they?  She continued that they live a very “romantic private life” and don’t need to post photos of each other all the time.  Fair enough.

Though we know Steve didn’t like the cameras, he never seemed that into Vicki.  Even at their engagement party at the end of last season, he was always just checked out.  Maybe Vicki realized it and let him go?  Unlikely.  If nothing else, Vicki felt that Steve filled her love tank, but perhaps Steve didn’t get the same feeling.  Someone send Vicki a casserole to Mexico – STAT!
