RHOP: Monique Samuels tells her side of the story

Monique Samuels gave her side of the fight but rehashing everything that went down isn’t going to change where things stand with the RHOP ladies.

The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Monique Samuels was on Fox Soul’s Cocktails with Queens with The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Claudia Jordan to give her side of events from the big fight.  Of course, with each passing day, one of the women is claiming to tell “their side” of the story and frankly, we are exhausted.

Monique says that she was upset because Charrisse Jackson-Jordan was being invited to filmed events when she suspected Charrisse the one spreading rumors about her marriage.  Monique notes that if Candiace Dillard Bassett was actually her friend, she would have given Monique a heads up that she was coming.  “You just invited all of this nastiness to our show knowing what her intentions were.”

There was also an awful rumor about Monique’s pregnancy that apparently Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon crafted.  Candiace shut those rumors down and noted that Chase looked just like Chris Samuels, so it could not have been another man’s baby.  Charrisse was also spreading a rumor that Monique did not have a miscarriage, but had an abortion instead.  Apparently, Karen Huger was the one who brought all of this information to Monique.

“When it comes to the fight itself, I take responsibility for my actions.”  Monique claims that she was triggered by Candiace putting her hands in her face after being bullied as a child.  She does note that she knows she should not have touched her, no matter the circumstance.  Since this fight became a legal matter once Candiace filed assault charges against Monique, the two have not spoken.

The reunion will be the first time the ladies will have spoken or seen one another since all of this went down, which gives us both anxiety and excitement about what is possible when they get together again.

At this point, it doesn’t seem like anyone is going to change their mind.  Monique is not going to change her opinion that she was triggered by Candiace and that Candiace brought this on herself.  Candiace is adamant she is the queen of the world and did nothing wrong to antagonize Monique.  We’re at a stalemate here, and that is unlikely to change with a reunion.

The Real Housewives of Potomac will be back next Sunday at 9 PM.
