Brandi Redmond from and her family suffered a major loss this weekend when a car accident took the life of her mother in law, Jill Marie Redmond.

Brandi Redmond’s daughter, 9-year-old Brinkley, survived a crash that took her mother-in-law’s life over the weekend.  The Real Housewives of Dallas star shared on Instagram that her husband’s mother, Jill Marie Redmond, had been in a fatal accident over the weekend.  “Thank you, Jesus, for saving our niece who was in the car with her. To know our mom was to love her,” the post said.

Brandi has not released any more details about the incident as we imagine she is caring for her family during this tragic loss.  Brinkley turned 9 just at the beginning of the month and was thankfully spared from whatever took her grandmother’s life.  Though she was not necessarily physically hurt in the accident, this will no doubt leave some emotional scarring.   “I ask that you lift my sweet Brinkley up as she continues to heal,” Brandi said on Instagram.

It seems that their other children, 11-year old Brooklyn, and two-year-old Bruin, were not in the car at the time.  We hope that Bryan Redmond and his sisters, Lauren, Megan & Kristen, are doing okay during this trying time for their family.

Lauren, Megan & Kristen noted on their podcast Instagram, @girlisleptinmymakeup, that the services for Jill will be in Dallas this week.  Bryan’s sister even said that their mom passed away saving their niece.  It isn’t clear what happened or how she saved Brinkley, but it seems heroic either way.  Rest in peace, Jill.
