Kelly Dodd has been quite controversial ahead of The Real Housewives of Orange County, but would you want to see her removed from season 15?

The effects of the coronavirus will likely impact most parts of our lives for years to come.  Even though we have seen how Bravo has handled filming reunions and confessionals with restrictions in place, the next season of The Real Housewives of Orange County will be the first one to show how the housewives themselves reacted during filming.  While most of the wives were home freaking out about the virus, Kelly Dodd was busy jet setting around the country.

Season 15 was supposed to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 7, but that has been pushed back a week to October 15 now.  Is it possible Bravo is editing some of the footage based on the reactions about Kelly?  Kelly was featured in the original trailer and appears to still be full time, but could they be reducing her screentime in the premiere?

If you check the comments of her posts, there have been a lot of disapproving fans.  “Won’t be watching because of you,” one commenter said.  On a post that suggested wearing a mask to walk through a restaurant was pointless, fans asked Kelly to “have a brain” and take the post down.  Others mocked the “sheep” who were complying with mask rules.

Regardless of her political views that she stole from Rick Leventhal, this is an important season for RHOC with the removal of Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson from the cast.  Vicki and Tamra fans are hoping it fails, while the rest of us are thrilled they are gone.  But what caused the week delay for the premiere?

On the other hand, Kelly’s behavior would certainly make for some good drama with her castmates.  Shannon Storms Beador and her daughters caught the virus this summer after the girls went to a party at a friend’s house.  If anyone is going to have a problem with Kelly’s lackadaisical views, it would be Shannon!

Elizabeth Lyn Vargas posted a long and rambling video earlier this week on Instagram defending Kelly and her opinions.  In the video, she said she was told not to post it but she did anyway.  “Kelly has her own point of view.  Why are you judging her?”  The video in itself was bizarre, but the timing of the video is suspicious, too.  Did they get a heads up about the premiere that had something to do with Kelly?

Everyone handled the situation differently and everyone is entitled to their opinions, but Bravo might not have appreciated Kelly’s particular response.  Of course, Kelly brings the drama, and with that comes better ratings – but at what cost?
