RHONY’s Dorinda Medley is officially officiating Kelly Dodd’s upcoming RHOC wedding and we couldn’t be more confused about the whole situation.

Dorinda Medley might be done with The Real Housewives of New York, but she’s not done with the housewives!  Rick Leventhal and Kelly Dodd are getting married on October 10, 2020, according to his recent Instagram post.  Kelly told E! back in 2019 that Ramona Singer wanted to be a bridesmaid since she introduced the pair, and Dorinda wanted to officiate the wedding since she has the ability to do so.

Dorinda had a lot to say about Ramona’s behavior when she was supposed to be quarantined, so it’s a bit odd that is all out the window for a wedding.  Also, why Kelly?  Kelly has been nothing short of atrocious during the coronavirus pandemic.  She didn’t quarantine, made extremely horrific comments about people dying, flew across the country multiple times, and has been making jokes about wearing a mask.

If anyone isn’t prepared for a safe wedding, it is Kelly and Rick.  Kelly noted that she wanted to marry in Napa with a “wine theme” which is better than the alternatives, but still a very strange wedding theme to pick.  Does everyone wear red?  Perhaps they stomp on grapes?

It is surprising Kelly has had time to plan a wedding given all the time she’s devoted to spreading misinformation.  She posts on Instagram about how masks are pointless,  doing promos on Fox Sports about Terry Bradshaw, and getting roped into conspiracy theories.  When did she have time to get a dress?

In this situation, it really is not clear why Dorinda out of all people would be officiating the wedding.  But what do we know?  Perhaps the two are old friends who bond over misinformation.  Oh, to be a fly on the wall of this party.  But please, make sure you wear a mask if you do end up on the walls.

The Real Housewives of New York City will be back on Bravo for reruns!
