Stassi Schroeder did her first interview after being fired from Vanderpump Rules for her comments about Faith Stowers and other racial issues.
Stassi Schroeder was on the Tamron Hall show this week to discuss her life since being fired from Vanderpump Rules. Stassi looked sullen in a black top in front of what appeared to be a green screen. It could have been her living room, too, but the background did not seem real. She immediately jumped in to say she has been working with an “accountability coach” to help rehab her image.
Stassi told Tamron that she needed time to process everything that happened and to realize what she did wrong. Truth be told, most of what she said sounded heavily rehearsed. We don’t blame her for rehearsing because of all the things she needed to apologize for, but she did not seem very sincere.
Throughout the interview, Stassi used a lot of appropriate buzzphrases to make her point. When asked about her comment on the Straight Up with Stassi podcast where she said that she was sick of people making “everything about race.” Stassi had a nicely prepared line ready. “All lives can’t matter until Black lives matter and that’s something that I’ve realized.”
Stassi definitely looked uncomfortable as she stumbled through the interview. Tamron did an excellent job of asking her questions to try and get her to address things, but it seems clear Stassi has not actually learned her lesson but learned her lines to make it through the interview. At one point, Tamron said she was astonished at Stassi’s “level of ignorance” when it came to race.
Stassi seemed very focused on how this all impacted her life but not so much on the impact of other people’s lives, such as Faith Stowers. If this is Stassi’s first step to getting back on television, people probably aren’t ready for that yet. Or ever.
Everyone might not agree with cancel culture but sometimes the right people get canceled for the right reasons. Stassi being canceled for all the horrible things she said and did over the years…might just be the right reasons.
Vanderpump Rules is on Bravo….for reruns.
