Below Deck Mediterranean: Malia White is still a bad leader
By Amanda Cline
The crew on Below Deck Mediterranean is attempting to find love in all of the wrong places, such as in Bugsy’s accessory drawer.
Now that the dust has sort of settled from Hannah Ferrier’s departure and Aesha Scott’s arrival on Below Deck Mediterranean, the crew seems to be getting in the groove of things. Unless you are Robert Westergaard or Jessica More. While they made plans to travel to Bali together after the season is over, those plans may already be in jeopardy.
What we know of Rob’s life pre-Below Deck was rough. We know that he and his mom suffered from substance abuse issues and she passed away. It sounds like his ex might suffer from similar demons and is reaching out in a time of need. Jess, obviously, is not okay with that.
On the other hand, Malia White’s bosun position is apparently no longer important and she is Tom Checketts sous chef instead now. Instead of having sympathy for Rob and Jess when they got into a fight, Malia thought the right move was to make fun of him. Malia was also pretty hard on them for kissing in front of her because that’s only okay when she does it with Tom!
Malia obviously noticed that Rob wasn’t doing great, but instead of asking if he was okay, she continued to add to his stress. A good leader would not only find out why he was upset but would try and help him get through his tasks. Not Malia! She felt it necessary to mock Rob to another co-worker.
Malia was focused on the fact that Jess and Rob were fighting the whole night at the club instead of having fun. She’s really focused on all of the wrong things this week.
Looks like next week she decides to sneak a snuggle with Tom instead of whipping up some cucumbers for a guest. Imagine thinking your love is more important than the guests. Malia would never!
Below Deck Mediterranean is on Bravo Monday nights at 9 PM ET!
