Dorinda Medley was always a fan favorite, but perhaps it is time for her to focus on herself off-camera before she returns to RHONY in the future.

No Bravo star comes out and just says “I was fired because I’m hard to deal with,” but we can presume that is the case sometimes.  There have been rumors floating around about Dorinda Medley for years, but in the last year or so, some certainly seem to have some weight.  Based on how she’s been acting towards her friends on The Real Housewives of New York, it would make sense she was perhaps being difficult behind-the-scenes, too.

But besides all of that

Underneath it all, we know Dorinda is a great person that makes for great television.  This season has been a tough one for Dorinda, but a redemption season usually follows a tough one.  Dorinda has always been a fan favorite along with her many one-liners, such as, “I cooked, I cleaned, I made it nice,” “A little wine, a roast chicken, and some ghost hunters and you’ll be good!” and, “CLIP!”

She made us laugh even when Ramona Singer was being awful, which happened frequently.  Not to mention, Dorinda had a home in New York fit for filming in addition to Blue Stone Manor in the Berkshires that was a destination for all of the women every season.  Her Halloween decor was top-notch, along with her Christmas scenes and the fish room!

Dorinda has suffered a lot of loss in her life, including her husband Richard, and most recently, her friend Jon Giswold.  Jon helped create “Dorobics” with her and was featured on the show.  He passed away just days before she was let go from RHONY.

Perhaps it is a good time for her to focus on herself and not have to deal with the show for a bit.  She can always have her redemption season down the line when she’s ready.

It will be an interesting couple of days for the show as these firings usually happen in groups of two…is Ramona next?  Cue the dramatic music!

The Real Housewives of New York is on Thursdays at 9 PM ET!
