Karen Huger is THE Grande Dame of The Real Housewives of Potomac and don’t you forget it, Mr. Ray Huger!  But he might have forgotten it.

The Real Housewives of Potomac has some fabulous women on the cast, but Karen Huger has always been a stand out star.  Some people are just made for television!  And at the start, Karen and Ray Huger seemed like couple goals, but something seems to have happened between now and then.

Ray is 73 years old while Karen is 53.  She has indicated that they might be in different phases of their lives and it is causing them to drift apart.  This week, Karen said Ray was ready to head to Florida to retire with a drink in hand.  Karen, however, isn’t ready for that phase yet.  “I haven’t really made him a priority…It’s hard, but he’s being receptive.”

Karen is focused on throwing parties with singing telegrams and over-the-top decor and dancing, but Ray is focused on other things, like sleeping.  He smiled and danced…and headed upstairs early.  To be fair, why did she think a party would bring them closer?  Let him take a nap!  Or head to Florida and take that man golfing!

But in true housewife fashion, is this a setup?  We know Ray was having tax problems.  Are they setting themselves up for an elaborate divorce storyline to keep the IRS at bay?  Is there a tacky vow renewal in the future for them?  That is surely the kiss of death for any marriage on tv.

No matter the case, Karen seems committed to the cause and Ray is just along for the ride.  For now.  “She put this party together and I’m just here!”

Aside from Ray, Karen seems to have some serious issues with Wendy Osefo.  We don’t know why yet, but we sure can’t wait to find out.

The Real Housewives of Potomac will be back next Sunday at 9 PM.
