RHOD: Is Jennifer Davis Long’s full-time status in jeopardy already?
By Amanda Cline
Jennifer Davis Long has been added as a potential new wife on The Real Housewives of Dallas this season, but her spot could be in jeopardy already.
The Real Housewives of Dallas had some new additions to the group, including Jennifer Davis Long. She and Tiffany Moon have been spotted filming with the ladies around Dallas in the last few months. There was wild gossip coming out that someone in the group was getting divorced, and for whatever reason, the public assumed it was about Kameron Westcott.
Jennifer and Tiffany were both testing to be full-time wives, but it seems that the rumors about the divorce might be about Jennifer. Because of this, her husband, David Long, has allegedly stopped filming and it has threatened her full-time status. On the subject of rumors, it was going around that Jennifer was replacing Brandi Redmond after her racist Instagram rant came to light.
Eight weeks ago when the rumors first started, Jennifer took to her Instagram to defend her marriage. “We fell in love, we got married, we had a Camelot life. Then, tragedy struck.” She continued to say that they were celebrating their seventh anniversary and were working on things.
Filming a reality show can certainly accelerate fractures in a relationship and it seems it had a negative impact on this couple. Being demoted to a friend-of the wives is also a tough pill to swallow after filming for so long. It is funny to see so many rumors about someone we haven’t even met on our televisions yet.
In the land of housewives, if a wife signs up and a divorce is already in the works, the ex can opt-out of participating in filming, and can also opt the children out of filming. Most of the time when this takes place, it eliminates a lot of the potential storyline and they get demoted. This is likely what happened with Sutton Stracke on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Brandi and Kary Brittingham were spotted filming together at the end of July, and Kameron had camera crews at her fancy garage sale back in June. Stephanie Hollman and D’Andra Simmons have been spotted filming at various events too. So who will make the final cut? Hopefully, production decides soon!
The Real Housewives of Dallas will be back on Bravo later this year.
