The Real Housewives of New York City was all about New York Fashion Week last night, featuring shows by Sonja By Sonja Morgan and Garo Sparo.

The Real Housewives of New York City celebrated two fashion shows this week.  Tinsley Mortimer walked in Garo Sparo’s fashion show, while Sonja Morgan had her own line debuting at New York Fashion Week.  The thing about the fashions at Sonja’s Sonja By Sonja Morgan line is that Sonja doesn’t really make said fashions.  She simply makes use of the dropshipping process.  According to Shopify, dropshipping “is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock.”

So Sonja isn’t out there crafting tutu’s like Garo for ladies like Tinsley, but she is choosing clothing pieces that make sense for her line.  The items even note on the website that they take a while, between10-20 days, to ship.  That is most likely because Sonja isn’t stocking a warehouse somewhere, she’s simply sending the order info to the person who is stocking a warehouse and the items go out from there.

Sonja’s clothing has been found on many websites besides her own such as Target and AliExpress, even using the same photos.  This is the process for many companies you would find targeting you with ads on Instagram, especially some of the “fast fashion” ones such as SheIn and BooHoo.

And while that might not work for some companies, it works for Sonja.  Leah McSweeney didn’t love the cashmere set that Sonja sent her – but how can you stay mad at her?  Sonja took the set back from Leah and promptly put it on herself.

Though she show took a bit of organizing once she arrived, it seemed to go off just fine.  At least she had seen the clothing, unlike The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, who apparently hadn’t even seen her clothes before they went down the runway.

No matter what venture Sonja chooses, she always delivers with a hilarious flair on things.  Long live the Sonja Morgan Toaster Oven.  No international fashion lifestyle brand is complete without it, really.

The Real Housewives of New York is on Thursdays at 9 PM ET!
