Below Deck Sailing Yacht has an interesting mix of people, but Jenna seems to be looking for love while the rest of the crew is busy working.

There are many differences between Below Deck Sailing Yacht and the other Below Deck franchises, including the boat.  The boat is smaller, more tilted, and a bit more finicky with its new teak.  But the crews are generally the same, with Jenna MacGillivray as the Chief Stewardess and two stews under her, and Paget Berry as First Mate with two deck crew members under him.

What exactly is Jenna doing?

For whatever reason, Jenna seems confused about her role.  Jenna spends about 99% of her time in the galley where Adam Glick is cooking.  As the chef, Adam spends 99% of his time in the galley prepping to cook and cooking.  Jenna just stands there cleaning her glasses.  While Madison Stalker and Georgia Grobler are busy getting the rooms turned over and ready for guests, Jenna clasps tightly onto a wine glass while semi-seductively dancing around in the ten square foot galley trying to steal glances from Adam.

Then, once Adam has turned away to fry a vegetable or two, Jenna huffs and puffs to the rooms where Madison and Georgia were working.  She picks apart each detail that isn’t to her liking and demands Madison re-do some of her work.  Jenna even said she was too busy to do the work herself.

Too busy working!

During the most recent episode, Jenna went to Captain Glenn Shephard and said Madison wasn’t doing any work.  She told Glen that she believed Madison was tired from staying up too late and it was causing her to have an attitude and not get work done.  “Madison needs to stop claiming to be exhausted from work.”

Meanwhile, Jenna literally only leaves the galley to bark at Madison and Georgia.  Perhaps if she were in the rooms cleaning with the other girls or guiding them before the work was complete, they would be more receptive?  Instead, Jenna just stares at Adam.  She served his food…and heads back to the kitchen to polish her glass.  Perhaps Jenna forgot that most of what she’s doing is being filmed for a show.  So far, there isn’t much evidence of her doing much work.  Does anyone have that footage?

At the end of the episode, something between Adam and Jenna went horribly awry.  When Georgia mentioned that she and Jenna had a boyfriend in common, Adam’s attitude sort of did a 180.  Adam is about to kick Jenna out of the galley for good, and then where is she going to polish her daily glass?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is on Mondays at 9 PM ET.
