After promising her help to hospitals and healthcare workers around the country, Bethenny Frankel followed through and donated supplies.
Bethenny Frankel has been hard at work the past few weeks trying to fundraise and gather supplies for hospitals and healthcare workers. Just two weeks ago she promised assistance to those in need. A week ago, she was collecting donations and asking people to tweet her about hospitals in need. This week, she delivered on her promises.
Bethenny, BStrong and the Global Empowerment Mission had a few missions set forth. Mission number one was to donate 1 million hazmat suits to the New York state government which they accomplished earlier this week. Mission number two was to donate 50,000 hazmat suits to the state of Lousiana.
Their third mission was to donate supplies to other hospitals in need. According to Bethenny’s Instagram post, they donated the following:
5,000 KN95 NIOSH masks, 10,000 surgical masks, and 100 Corona kits to both UCLA and Cedars Sinai. 10,000 KN95 NIOSH masks and 5,000 surgical masks went to NYU’s Langone Hospital. 5,000 KN95 NIOSH masks and 2,500 surgical masks were shipped to Mount Sinai Hospital and the same to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
10,000 KN95 NIOSH masks were sent to Massachusets General Hospital. 5,000 KN95 NIOSH masks and 2,500 surgical masks went to Newton Wellesley Hospital and 5,000 surgical masks went to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
While the nurses, doctors, and other healthcare workers are the heroes in this situation, people who donated money, supplies, and their time to help others are also a huge part of the solution. Without donations, it would have been impossible to get supplies.
And without the group working tirelessly to organize the supplies, it would have been impossible to distribute them in such an organized fashion. Billy Joel even offered his support in the form of $500,000 to get more supplies sent out. It takes a village!
Thank you to Bethenny, BStrong, the Global Empowerment Mission, and everyone who donated their money and time to make this possible. You can donate to BStrong through their website via Paypal if you want to help with their efforts.
