Southern Charm: The cast has started filming for season 7!

After a lot of speculation, the cast of Southern Charm has started filming for season seven – but no official cast announcement yet.

The cast of Southern Charm has been on a hiatus since August 2019 after season six wrapped.  It has been rumored that before the new year, the cast had been filming but the footage wasn’t great.  It was also speculated that some new cast members had been hired…and ultimately fired when the footage wasn’t up to snuff.

Earlier this week, Naomie Olindo and Chelsea Meissner were together at an event (is that Austen Kroll in the background??).  After losing her father a few months ago, viewers weren’t sure she would be back.  Danni Baird also posted a shot on her Instagram stories that she was filming.

Now people are also speculating that Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel are back together which is awful news.  Thomas has been firm that he would not be back on the show, but he’s also been firm that he didn’t do a lot of things…that ended up being true.  Ick.

No word on the rest of the cast yet but I’m sure they aren’t far behind.  In Dani’s Instagram post, she tagged a well known Charleston socialite, Leva Nowroozyani Bonaparte, who recently posted a throwback photo with Craig Conover on her Instagram.  Her post noted that she was “excited about what we have coming down the pipe!”  Sounds like she’s a new addition to the cast that’s actually friends with the group.

And no offense to Eliza Limehouse but I hope she isn’t back this season.  Same with Ashley Jacobs.

Though Ashley provided some excellent drama with her insanity last season, she’s just too awful for television.  And if I have to hear Eliza say “the oldest family in Charleston” one more time… I just might cry.  I hope we get some official confirmation soon!
