RHOA: There’s no need for confusion, Kandi’s mom never liked Todd

With RHOA returning after a sabbatical, the drama resumes. The latest twist, Kandi Burruss’ mom is back to hating Todd Tucker.

With RHOA back from a mini-break, things are once again starting to heat up in the “A”. While there are many storylines, instances of drama, or simply mere shady moments we could address, there is a topic buzzing around the world of RHOA more than any other.

In this most recent episode, it was essentially revealed that Kandi Burruss’ mother, Joyce Jones, still doesn’t quite trust in Kandi’s husband, Todd Tucker. Essentially, the conversation came about because Jones mentioned to Kandi that she wants to rework or ensure that her final business is set up so that Todd won’t ever have final say or the ability to dictate how her things are handled or dispersed.

While these are typical and understandable statements from anybody that wants to make sure that their loved ones or the people that they intend to benefit are the ones accruing these benefits, however, her approach was a bit extra and as we all know, comes from a much sinister place. To be frank and although she has put on a good show over the last handful of seasons or so, we know she has never liked Todd.

Why is there such confusion?

She flat-out accused him of being a gold digger in the beginning stages, while she has also called him a sour citrus fruit that Kandi turned into a sweet and refreshing beverage in more recent seasons.

We all remember the lemons and lemonade scenario, right? Here’s how the exact exchange on the show went between Burruss, Tucker, and producers. Kandi makes the initial statement per her mother as she gave it to her, then a producer interjects before Kandi finishes off the quote.

"“Then I’ll put you (referring to Kandi) after Riley because I’m sure Riley will make sure her little brother and sister are still taken care of” (Kandi)“She’s probably more concerned about herself” (producer)“My mother and Todd have had a long and unfortunate history. Things have started to go backwards again, and I don’t know what to do” (Kandi)"

While we don’t know how this will ultimately shake out, we do know that Todd isn’t going anywhere. “Mama Joyce” has always had a problem with Tucker and that isn’t going anywhere either.

She has always felt that way, while she’s also never been shy about letting it be known, regardless of the front of peace and love that she has tried to put up. It should be an interesting scenario to monitor from here out in the midst of RHOA and we can’t wait to see it all happen. Popcorn … ready.
