RHOA: Why did Nene Leakes hire high profile attorney Lisa Bloom?

The RHOA star has been acting increasingly strange since Nene’s friend, Wendy Williams, announced she had a secret, but what is going on?

Nene Leakes felt the need to hire Lisa Bloom, who is best known for being hired by Harvey Weinstein when he was accused of sexual assault.  Bloom was brought on in an “attempt to discredit one of Weinstein’s accusers, Rose McGowan, by publicly spreading misinformation about her,” according to Bloom’s Wikipedia page.  But what in the world could the RHOA star need such an attorney for?  Her post of Lisa was captioned with, “I’ve stay quiet a long time and gathered info along the way. Now I’m gonna make some noise #waitforit #unfair.”  Huh?

A few weeks ago, Nene and Wendy Williams made the news when Wendy blurted out on her show that Nene was done with the show.  Nene seemed to enjoy all of the attention this brought her, but Wendy continued and said that Nene had a “big secret.”

Nene followed that up with another Instagram post captioned “WHO SAID DAT!?!?! #SMH.”  But now that Nene has hired some big (read: expensive) lawyer, what in the world is coming next?

The rumor mill has been churning away, as it does, about Nene and whatever is about to happen.  There are many whispers that something funky is going on with Nene and her husband, Gregg Leakes.  Back in October 2019, Nene sat down with Bravo’s The Daily Dish and discussed her marriage potentially being an open one.

For a while there it seemed like Nene was done with The Real Housewives of Atlanta but a big-time lawyer requires a big-time paycheck…which the show provides.  And if something was up with her and Gregg, wouldn’t she use the same lawyer she used last time they got a divorce?  Something big is coming…I said what I said!
