After fourteen years on RHOC, The OG of the OC has finally decided that her time on the show has come to an end. Check out what she had to say about it.
After season 14 of RHOC wrapped, the rumors about new cast members started flying. Andy Cohen was mum about the situation and said that no real decisions had been made just last week. But last night, Vicki Gunvalson announced that she was departing after fourteen years with the franchise. Of course, she’d love for all of us to believe this was her choice, and we might never know the difference.
But Vicki’s behavior at the reunion was not cute. She was rude to all of the staff, she was incredibly rude to Andy Cohen, and was awful to her co-stars. It seemed that she sealed the deal by being too difficult to work with.
There was a lot of footage of her running around backstage shouting at production members, and she even told Andy that she was responsible for his success on the network. She also said she created The Real Housewives of Orange County franchise and that it belonged to her. Vicki took to her Instagram last night to announce the news. She also chose an interesting photo to announce it with.
Vicki thanked the fans for their support and plugged her new podcast. She did thank Bravo and Evolution, the production company for the franchise – but nothing about Andy. She also hinted at a “new journey” for her, whatever that may be.
Either way, 14 years on the show was a long time and Vicki did have some good moments. It will be interesting to see if the rest of the cast changes at all.
Andy was vocal that he thought Braunwyn Windham-Burke was a great addition to the cast and brought life back into it. Will he add any more wives to the mix? Only time will tell. Hopefully, those contract negotiations get wrapped up quicky…See you at Andales, Vicki!
The Real Housewives of Orange County will be back later this year…
