RHOD: Breaking down LeeAnne’s behavior during the reunion part II
Was There a Cover Up?
It appears these comments were not new for LeeAnne, just new for us as viewers.
Andy dropped a bomb at the end of the reunion. He said, “There’s something else that’s happening here, which is that you all thought that this was never going to air.”
It turns out that all of the RHOD housewives thought that none of the scenes containing LeeAnne’s racist comments were ever going to air. Since LeeAnne has brought a lot to the show, the ladies felt that production had protected LeeAnne in the past, and never thought the damning footage would see the light of day.
Kary was shocked and asked if they would have told her this was going on if it had never aired. Kameron claimed that she was going to tell Kary no matter what, but Brandi and Stephanie said that production had told Kameron that they were going to air these scenes right before Kameron talked to Kary. Interesting to think that there might be a lot more of these comments on the production room floor somewhere…
More on Steve Kemble
Over the weekend, LeeAnne’s wedding planner, Steve Kemble, posted a video on Twitter. It was a video that Brandi Redmond had posted 3 years ago, quickly took down, and apologized for at the time. In it, she refers to her eyes as being squinty and speaks with an accent.
Steve reposted it, saying that if LeeAnne was going to be called racist, Brandi should be, too. Brandi issued an apology on Twitter once again.
Immediately after the RHOD Reunion last night, Andy had Stephanie on Watch What Happens Live as a guest. The question of this video came up, and Stephanie said, “Brandi isn’t racist; her video was a horrible mistake and she’s very embarrassed about it.”
Stephanie went on to say, “I think a lot of deflection is going on. LeeAnne’s words were said with hate towards Kary. Brandi’s weren’t hate-driven.” You can watch the clip on BravoTV.com.
Is this drama over for LeeAnne and The Real Housewives of Dallas, or is it just beginning? If LeeAnne wasn’t tried in a court of law, she’s certainly being roasted in the court of public opinions….
The Real Housewives of Dallas will hopefully be back later this year…
