Perhaps most surprising and heartbreaking of all was the breakup that no one expected: Fan favorites Bethenny and Jill from season 1 on RHONY.

They loved each other and quickly formed a sisterly dynamic that RHONY viewers loved to watch. But at the end of season 1, Bethenny Frankel was a clear fan favorite. Viewers were rooting for the struggling, single Bethenny that so many of us could relate to: Trying to make her way in the business world while also finding love.

The Real Housewives of New York: Bethenny Frankel and Jill Zarin

Jealousy seemed to be the undoing for this pair. When season two began, we heard Jill Zarin accuse Bethenny of ignoring Jill’s husband, Bobby, over the summer, when he’d been diagnosed with cancer. Remember when Bethenny went to Ramona’s apartment to talk to Jill, and Luann de Lesseps interrupted a tearful Bethenny to offer the pair some tea?  Oh, the memories.

In season three, when Bethenny was pregnant and about to get married, Jill did try to make amends; she tried again at the reunion.  Ever-guarded Bethenny accepted the apologies but did not accept Jill back as a friend. It was not until Jill lost Bobby many seasons later to cancer that Bethenny made a friendship overture of her own.

The two, while not besties like they once were, are now cordial and comfortable around each other once again.  It seems that any time one of the two is interviewed, the feud still comes up.

During BravoCon, Luann told the audience that we might see more of Jill this season – especially since Bethenny is no longer on the show.  Jill has moved on with her life and is focusing on her new line of rugs, but I’m sure she would discuss Bethenny in-depth if you asked.
