Over the Easter holiday, The Real Housewives of New Jersey family suffered another blow in the process to appeal Joe’s deportation to Italy.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is back for another emotional episode with news of Joe Giudice’s appeal denial for his deportation case. While Teresa Giudice and Gia are working on the easter baskets, Joe Gorga had a conversation with Gia about her dad. In the emotional scene, Joe asked Gia to consider letting her dad go to Italy because of the conditions he has been living in for so long. Gia responded that she just wasn’t sure if she was ready to let him go.
For Easter, the Giudice family and the Gorga family come together to eat and, well, cry. Joe called from the ICE detention center while the family was sitting down together. You can watch the scene on Bravo’s site. Gia (age 18) eventually took the youngest sister, Audriana (age 9), away from the table. Gabriella (age 15) was comforting her sister Milania (age 14) at the table as well. Teresa said she wasn’t going to tell Audriana about the denial because she was too young and didn’t go on the internet like her older sisters. Audriana immediately asked Teresa if her dad was getting deported. I guess Teresa’s plan did not work.
Earlier this week, Joe and Teresa announced their separation after twenty years of marriage. Joe is not allowed back in the United States, though his court case is still not over.
Viewers have a lot of feelings about the Giudice parents and their punishment. A lot of people blame Teresa just as much as they do Joe for their actions, some people think Teresa was none the wiser to Joe’s antics. But one thing most people agree on is that their children are innocent in all of it.
At the end of the Easter meal, the family broke out the famous sprinkle cookies. Yes, the ones Melissa gave Teresa and she threw them in the garbage! How far we’ve come.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey will be back on January 1 at 8 PM ET on Bravo.
