Dennis McKinley gave the lamest excuse on the most recent episode of RHOA for cheating on Porsha Williams while she was pregnant.

While Porsha Williams was busy making a baby, her fiance, Dennis McKinley was busy being a cheater and a liar.  While the couple is in therapy to try and get through a rough patch in their relationship, the RHOA cameras caught Dennis in a rare moment of honesty.  Dennis said he made a mistake and cheated on Porsha, but Porsha didn’t accept that.  She says that by calling it a mistake, he isn’t taking responsibility for his actions.

Dennis, clad in a 90’s swishy-track-suit looks like CeeLo Green if CeeLo dressed like a popsicle.  He surprised Porsha by showing up to her session and dropped some bombs on her.  “It was a poor decision and it was a selfish decision,” he told Porsha and the therapist.  Porsha, rightfully so, flipped out on him.  Dennis straight up said that because the sex wasn’t great during the pregnancy and after, he felt he needed to cheat.

Porsha was struggling with everything normal a woman goes through during and after pregnancy, and Dennis felt like the lack of sex was a good enough reason to sleep with someone else.  It’s great he can finally own up to the fact that he cheated, but his excuse is…inexcusable.  Dennis says the post-partum depression was very real for Porsha, just like it is for many women.

If Porsha can overcome this and forgive Dennis, I just hope that he doesn’t break her trust again anytime soon.  Dennis just doesn’t seem to care about the pain he caused the mother of his child, and through that, his daughter.

Co-parenting is hard enough as it is, so hopefully, the family can re-build the trust in their relationship if for nothing more than their daughter.  Still though, that was the lamest excuse in the land of excuses.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is on every Sunday at 8 PM!
