Real Housewives of New Jersey: Dolores Catania and her comments about Jackie’s “upbringing”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Dolores is breaking out every excuse in the book to justify her dislike of Jackie, but she’s coming up short.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast has been arguing amongst themselves about Dolores Catania’s comments about Jackie Goldschneider’s “upbringing.”  Dolores tried to explain away what she meant by the comment, but it really didn’t change the meaning of what she said.  Dolores was on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 10 After Show, and said, “I feel uptight around her.  I feel like sometimes she’s uptight.”

She went on to explain that she is an empathetic person, which apparently translates to Jackie not being empathetic.  Jackie’s eating habits seem to get mentioned every episode now, and I think Jackie has been clear that she has a weird relationship with food.  Why Jennifer thinks it is funny to mock is not clear.  But when pushed, Jackie made tweeted and quickly deleted a comment about Jennifer needing liposuction.  Jackie hasn’t really come for Dolores in that manner…yet.

So, Jackie and Dolores were raised differently

Cut from a different cloth! Duh.  They aren’t two humans in one body.  They aren’t in the same family.  Why does it bother Dolores so much?  Dolores went on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and said that she thinks Jackie was “coddled” as a child.  So at this point my takeaway is: Dolores just doesn’t like Jackie and is finding weird excuses to validate her dislike.   Was that obvious?  Probably.  Dolores says that children and family are not allowed to be discussed, but Jackie’s upbringing is a fair game to dissect.

Dolores also seems to like to mock people (Jackie) for having thin skin, but then she claimed that Jackie’s behavior made her wake up in a bad mood.  Does Dolores think letting someone’s comments the night before ruin the following day does not equal having thin skin?  Dolores even claimed Jackie should be like a dolphin to get thinner skin.  Sure, Dolores, let me just go to the dolphin skin store and suit up.  Get real.

Unfortunately, Dolores doesn’t seem to have much of a storyline besides the love-triangle-home-building debacle, therefore, she’s creating a storyline with Jackie.  At this point, it seems that fans are drawn to Jackie’s honesty and appreciate her openness on the show.  Fans do not seem drawn to Dolores and her comments…or weird storyline.
