RHONJ: What do Patti Stanger, Jennifer Aydin and Bethenny Frankel have in common?
By Amanda Cline
The answer: not much. But Patti Stanger started a twitter fight with Jennifer Aydin of RHONJ after her comments about Bethenny Frankel…for some reason.
A snippet from Jennifer Aydin was posted on the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Instagram page a few weeks back after RHONJ. In the clip, Jennifer told Margaret Josephs “I’m a comedian and I get off on making people laugh.” Margaret was shown saying to the camera “Note to yourself: You are not a comedian.” RHONY’s former leading lady, Bethenny Frankel, commented on the post, “Said nobody funny about themselves ever.”
Jennifer was later on WWHL and a caller asked about Bethenny’s comment. Jennifer basically said she was very funny and knew she was original, or something like that. After that, Jennifer threw some shade at Bethenny asking if she was really on to bigger and better things, doesn’t she have better things to do with her time than shade current housewives on Instagram? You can watch her response on the Bravo site.
After all of that, Millionaire Matchmaker’s Patti Stanger tweeted at Jennifer saying slamming Bethenny was a “dumb ass move,” and that she was making Jersey look bad.
She even went on to say that Margaret was funnier and smarter than Jennifer was. But why does Patti even care? Also to be fair, no one asked Bethenny’s opinion either, she just commented it on Instagram. Jennifer eventually tweeted back, “Patti Stanger who?”
I don’t know about you, but I found that mildly funny. Jennifer may not be the funniest person on television right now, but she’s probably the most relevant out of the three involved here. Margaret chimed in that in ten years, Jennifer will be irrelevant and that Bethenny has remained relevant for the last ten years, so she deserves some respect. The premise isn’t wrong, but Bethenny’s success has nothing to do with the trajectory of Jennifer’s life…or Patti’s. Hashtag that, Patti!
