Real Housewives of Orange County: 3 reasons Tamra Judge is a snake, but makes for good TV

The Real Housewives of Orange County is always drama adjacent and involved in the drama, but is Tamra actually the one controlling the drama?

On this episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Tamra Judge, in her truest snake fashion, spent most of the episode arguing that Kelly is a loving and caring friend.  Just last week she was “done” with her, and told Vicki Gunvalson that Kelly wanted her dead.  Now it’s suddenly hard for Tamra to pick a side. The housewives love to toss around the term “gaslighting” incorrectly, but I think Tamra is actually gaslighting her castmates.  Check out some of the reasons Tamra is a terrible friend, but excellent cast member.

Tamra stirs the pot 24/7

I think Shannon Storms Beador thinks Tamra is her real friend.  They hang out off-screen, they talk when they aren’t filming, but Tamra is always just preparing for the next pot she wants to stir.  Shannon trusts Tamra, but Tamra just uses Shannon to push her narrative.  Tamra was even ballsy enough to say Braunwyn Windham-Burke was the “rang licker” aka the ring-leader.  Anything to get the heat off of her!  I think this episode was one of the first where Shannon realized that Tamra is not her friend at all.

She keeps looking at the camera

Tamra has been pretty obvious about her scheming this season.  Tamra mentions Kelly got into a bar fight and looked at the camera first.  She says Kelly would want to attend Vicki’s funeral, she made sure the camera was on her.  Before she said something at Shannon’s birthday, she checked for the camera.  Tamra knows what she’s doing, and she wants to make sure the camera catches all of her moves.  Unfortunately for her, this episode showed they catch all of her moves…even the bad ones.

The flashbacks don’t lie

The flashbacks provided on-screen from production were on point this episode.  Anytime one of the women denied saying something, production flashed back to show that Tamra was starting the rumors.  It showed, at least six times, that Tamra was the one saying something and pinning it on one of the other ladies.  Kelly says, “It’s part of Tamra’s pattern.  She likes to drop a little bomb and walk away.”  Flashbacks be damned!  With each point made at the table, there was a corresponding flashback to show that Tamra was the one behind the rumor.  But what are they going to do about it?

Tamra has been very comfortable with her role as head housewife since Vicki got demoted, but is she about to be de-throned?  I can only hope so.
