The Real Housewives of Orange County star was trying to block the airing of some phrases in an upcoming episode, but did not succeed.

The Real Housewives of Orange County “friend of” has been trying to block Bravo and NBC Universal from airing some scenes that show Vicki Gunvalson in a bad light.  She didn’t even want to scrap the whole episode, just three phrases.  The best part is that Vicki tried to circumvent the no lawsuit clause in their contracts by suing under the pseudonym, Jane Roe.

A source told People that Vicki is, “tired of the negativity,” and dropped the suit.  The source, whoever that may be, also said that Vicki has a duty to protect her company and her clients from “meritless accusations,” which she claims the phrases are.

What did Kelly say?

The phrases Kelly Dodd used in Key West were, ”You prey on older people,” “You are a con woman,” and “You engaged in ‘fraud.’”  You can totally see Kelly call Vicki a “con woman” in the first look for the season, so the words are already out there.

The cancer scandal

Vicki can threaten lawsuits all she wants, but she’s the one who involved herself in the cancer scam with her ex-boyfriend, Brooks Ayers.  The whole incident has never been explicitly proven or admitted by Vicki or Brooks, but it is pretty widely accepted that Brooks never had cancer.  Whether Vicki was included on that important tidbit – the jury remains out.

The suit was supposedly going to hurt Vicki’s insurance business, but if anything, the lawsuit brought more attention to her than the phrases hurled by Kelly.  Kelly has been on a tirade against Vicki all season, so I can understand if she’s tired of it.  And on the other hand, I think Vicki is the only one ruining her credibility at this point.  Kelly is merely commenting on it.

Obviously Vicki was demoted for the current season of RHOC, and something tells me suing the company that writes your paychecks probably isn’t the best route to take. If she wanted to be back in their good graces, a nonsense public lawsuit…probably isn’t the best route to take.

The Real Housewives of Orange County is on Bravo at 9 PM every Tuesday.
