The Real Housewives of New York star, Luann de Lesseps, went off about Bethenny Frankel and her leaving the show this week.

Luann de Lesseps was on SiriusXM’s “The Jenny McCarthy Show” this week and did not hold back.  Luann went off about Bethenny Frankel leaving The Real Housewives of New York without telling anyone.  She says that it was a bad way to leave a show that was there for her when her own talk show “tanked.”

Breaking news – for everyone

Luann went on to say that her co-stars, the viewers, Andy, and Bravo all found out about her leaving the same way – on Instagram.  No matter how you feel about Bethenny, that is certainly not the preferred way of putting in your notice.

Luann said, “I think the whole cast is relieved in a way,” that Bethenny has decided to move on from RHONY.  She says it was like walking on eggshells around Bethenny because you never knew what was going to upset her or set her off.

Luann revealed that during filming, they went to a fashion show and there was a place set for Bethenny – and Ramona Singer lost her mind.  It was apparently only a mistake, but Ramona was “terrified” that Bethenny might be joining then.  Jenny says that the cast must enjoy not having to stand next to a SkinnyGirl bottle (the shade of it all).

Luann goes on to say that with Bethenny gone, it gives a chance for the rest of the cast to be out of her shadow, and to shine on their own.  And by that, Luann definitely means on stage for her cabaret show, right?

Bethenny said she left the show due to wanting to focus on other projects, even a potential foray into production herself, but some say it was due to contract negotiations that just couldn’t get worked out.  Whatever the case, I think our beloved RHONY is going to be just fine.

The Real Housewives of New York will be back next year on Bravo.
