Vanderpump Rules: Um, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz aren’t married?

Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz married in 2016 in front of friends, family, and their boss, Lisa Vanderpump.

ICYMI: Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Tom Schwartz married in August of 2016 in the woods, on a lovely Wednesday afternoon.

The affair was officiated by their boss on the hit TV show, Lisa Vanderpump. There were $18 kitchen napkins as invitations. A truly unique affair.

Since then, we’ve seen them chronicle their first years of marriage on Vanderpump Rules.  Last month, fellow co-stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright also tied the knot at the Kentucky Castle. Lisa Vanderpump was to officiate their wedding as well, but they made alternate plans after the sudden loss of her mother.

Due to this, Lance Bass stepped in to marry the happy couple. I swear all of this is relevant.  Lance was recently on the Reality Bytes podcast and talked about his experience at the wedding.

Anyway, apparently, Lance let it slip that Katie and Tom are not actually married due to a paperwork issue.

Lance made it seem like this was an issue with something Tom did (or didn’t) do, and that it is probably going to be part of their storyline next season.

The couple has obviously remained quiet on the issue because it’s either A) embarrassing they’ve been pretending to be married for three years and/or B) it’s going to be a big part of the upcoming eighth season of Vanderpump Rules.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out because Tom is not the best at, well, anything really.  But you would think if they were aware of the issue three years later, they would correct it.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see.  No word on when the eighth season will be airing, but it is currently filming.
