Real Housewives of New York: Bethenny, Luann in the hot seat for part 1 of the reunion
By Amanda Cline
The Real Housewives of New York Reunion Part 1 did not disappoint in this “masterpiece of a season,” as Andy Cohen said.
The Real Housewives of New York cast is back and ready to argue in their finest dresses.
Bethenny Frankel, Dorinda Medley, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Tinsley Mortimer, and Barbara Kavovit are all at the reunion, with Ramona and Luann in the hot seats.
Cue the dramatic music
Dorinda and Luann start off at each other’s throats about Jovani. Since Luann wasn’t at the reunion last year, it left a lot unsaid.
Truthfully, Luann has been nothing but wrapped up in herself and her cabaret. She is delusional if she thinks anything different. Welcome to Luann land!
Dorinda was very upset when she was uninvited to Barbara’s clam bake. In response, Dorinda sent a Tyler Perry quote. They’ve been going on with this Jovani argument for a while, but hopefully, it ends at this reunion.
Watching all of the smiles slowly disappear when the DJ plays “Feelin’ Jovani” while Luann bops along and sings is on the of the best parts of this episode.
Ramona discusses her recent decision to move, and promptly gives out the full address of where she plans on moving.
Bethenny in the hot seat
Bethenny is trying to move on from the loss of Dennis Shields and has a new boyfriend named Paul, who happens to be a very private person.
Andy Cohen takes this opportunity to ask why it’s okay for Bethenny to keep her relationship private, but not okay for Tinsley to keep her relationship.
The difference is, Coupon Cabin’s finest wanted to be on television. Did anyone know about Coupon Cabin prior to The Real Housewives of New York? I didn’t think so.
There’s definitely more to come in part II & III, more Ramona in the hot seat, hopefully.
"“When you haven’t forgiven those who’ve hurt you, you turn your back against your future. When you do forgive, you start walking forward,”"
-Tyler Perry
Part II of The Real Housewives of New York reunion airs on Thursday, July 18 at 9 PM ET.
