Southern Charm: If I were Kathryn, I’d be “RSVPeeved” too

Southern Charm Season 6 premiered last night with “RSVPeeved,” and we, too, are “RSVPeeved” for the guest list. There is no shortage of drama at this dinner party.

The most obvious topic of conversation for Southern Charm right now is Thomas Ravenel’s trouble with the law.  Season 6 started off with inter-cast phone calls about Thomas being arrested, but really, the whole episode delivered on the drama.

According to People, Kathryn Dennis found out about his arrest like the rest of us, in the news.

Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel had apparently just visited the doctor with their son, Saint.  Kathryn told Cameran Eubanks on the phone that Thomas was “in denial.”

Cameran tells the camera, “I’m not saying anything negative about Thomas because I don’t wan to be sued, sorry,” as she sips on her McDonalds drink.

Cameran goes to visit her Southern Charm co-star, Craig Conover, at his home.  Cameran is blown away by the Newest New Craig!  His home is decorated nicely, he has a dog(!), a “shaz” (chaise) lounge, and apparently is a grown up now.  He says going to the Bahamas changed him.  

Craig pours them some wine and Cam asks him where she can buy weed.  It was probably the wine asking.

Trop Hop, triple hopped

Austen Kroll and his new girlfriend, Madison, go have some coffee.  Apparently Patricia Altschul is having a dinner party the following night, and Madison asks if Shep Rose is going.  Still unsure why she cares.

If you remember, Madison is the girl shouting at Austen in the video.  While he walks out of the bedroom in his underwear, she goes off camera to ask the other women (plural) if they slept with Austen the night before.  Meanwhile, Austen is just yelling in the bedroom.

That apparently strengthened their relationship and they remain together.

Chelsea Meissner and Shep Rose go to purchase her a new surfboard.

Naomi Olindo goes to the gym with her new boyfriend, Metul Shah.

A fabulous dinner party at Patricia’s home

Eliza Limehouse arrives to Patricia’s home with Shep Rose and does not tread lightly.  While everyone else is avoiding talking about Thomas, Eliza takes this opportunity to name drop him a few times.

Eliza spends the night making a fool of herself.  Austen asked how she was, and she goes into a rant about how she plays polo and it is hard for her to use the restroom because it hurts her back. “I’m sorry I’m young and hot and just graduated college a year and a half ago” she tells no one in particular.

Anyway…

We love that Kathryn Dennis and Patricia Altschul are still friends.  She even sat them next to each other at dinner!  The order at the table is as follows (sort of):

Side A:  Other people – Patricia – Kathryn – Whitney – Chelsea – Austen – Madison – other people

Side B:  Naomie –  Shep – Eliza – Cameran – Danni – other people

Eliza looks like she’s been at the beach all day and just threw a dress on for dinner.  Her extensions say “this is my first season on TV.”  She offers up Kathryn’s body to be a surrogate for Shep’s child.

Eliza is directly across from Kathryn at the dinner table (see my intricate diagram above) and spends the meal talking indirectly at Kathryn about Thomas.

Eliza tries to apologize to Kathryn at the end of dinner but Kathryn was having none of it.  “I didn’t even know you still lived here, and my coattails are about worn out, so good night” and then she walked away.

Long live queen Kathryn!  She handled the entire night very well, but the season just started.  This is going to be a messy one, that much is true.

Southern Charm will be back next Wednesday at 8 PM ET on Bravo.  This episode seriously started with a bang – we can’t wait to see what is revealed next week.  Did you guys like this episode?  Let us know!
