The Real Housewives of Potomac are back this week with “Here Comes the Bride,”  but can the wedding venue contain all this drama?

We love a Real Housewives wedding!  The Real Housewives of Potomac certainly know how to throw a soirée, be it in a rented castle with a confusing theme, or not.

As we mentioned in our recap about the season 4 premiere, there is some trouble brewing with Candiace Dillard Bassett and her mother, Dorothy. Candiace has invited her brother to the wedding and Dorothy does not approve.  “Those are the sins of your father,” she tells her daughter as she tries on her wedding dress.

Gizelle Bryant calls up RHOP co-star Robyn Dixon to tell her that her boyfriend, Sherman Douglas, is not going to the wedding.  Sherman has been sort of a shady figure in Gizelle’s life, and this is no different.

Once Candiace is getting her hair and makeup done shortly before the wedding, she won’t allow her mom in to visit with her.  Chris decided to use popular R&B song titles as his vows. Personally, I have never heard of such a thing, and I never want to hear it again.

A snippet of his vows:

“My princess, my queen, something about you, I need…For you I will, In the still of the night. I’ll be the one, long as I live.”

The wedding was beautiful and went off without any further interruptions.  We have a feeling the drama with brother Michael isn’t over based on the previews for next week.

The wedding after party

Gizelle is definitely sad about Sherman ditching her throughout the night.  Gizelle, Robyn and Ashley Darby are at the table doing shots.  Then the bar doing shots.  Shots throughout the venue!

In her cameral confessional, Karen says, “If Ashley is mean again, I will sue her for her restaurant and give it to her mother.”  She doesn’t interact with Ashley much during the wedding or the festivities, but she does have a nice conversation with Gizelle.

Candiace sings Chris an original song. Robyn and Ashley do another shot. Candiace introduces her brother, Michael, to Gizelle.  Dorothy rolls her eyes.

We love shady foreshadowing

At the very end of a mostly uneventful episode, the strangest conversation arises between Robyn Dixon and Michael Darby.

Michael Darby: “I promised your wife I’d make up with Ray”

Juan Dixon: “When are you gunna do that? Tonight?

Michael Darby: “Like, I said something to them kind of, you know, friendly”

We see flashback footage of Ray and Michael bumping glasses, someone says “good to see you” twice, and then the camera is back to Michael and Juan talking.

Michael Darby: “Then he kinda touched me as he walked by, that’s a good start.

Michael Darby: “I wanna grab his butt but I didn’t”

According to Bravo, Michael gets hit with the sexual assault allegations less than two months from the wedding scene. dramatic music plays.

This episode was fairly uneventful and mostly centered around the wedding, but have no fear!  Next week things go downhill, and quickly.  We can’t wait to watch!
