Former Real Housewives stars: Where are the Real Housewives alumni now?
By Layla Ahmad
Real Housewives has blessed us with some unforgettable characters that we have a hard time leaving behind. This begs the question, where are some of our favorite Real Housewives stars now?
They may have left the Real Housewives franchise but they certainly have not left our hearts…
Yolanda Hadid, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
This alumni of RHOBH may be the most famous out of all them, as she spawned two of the biggest supermodels on earth, Bella and Gigi Hadid.
Viewers of RHOBH saw them long before they hit the catwalk, when they were just young girls hanging out with their mom in Malibu.
Nowadays, Yolanda is mostly focused on Lyme Disease awareness and on her children’s careers.
She also and can be spotted at events out and about with her daughters.
Heather Thomson, Real Housewives of New York
Since leaving the show, Heather Thomson has taken a different path. She got a degree in nutrition, and started a nutrition brand called Nutritionary, according to slice.ca. Heather has made hiking a huge hobby, managing to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. She also does lots of charity and advocacy work, and has run the New York Marathon. Props to Heather!
Gretchen Rossi, Real Housewives of Orange County
Gretchen has left her RHOC roots behind her, and is fully in family mode now. According to E!, Gretchen is engaged to Slade Smiley, and is focused on starting a family, while continually expanding her luggage line, Gretchen Christine.
Aviva Drescher, Real Housewives of New York
Remembered most vividly for throwing her prosthetic leg across a table during an RHONY party thrown by Sonja Morgan, Aviva now lives life a little more quietly. Aviva spends time with her three kids, husband Reid, and does a lot of work with amputees. She is currently working on a second memoir.
Kelly Bensimon, Real Housewives of New York
Kelly Bensimon can now sell you a house. No really, Kelly has reinvented herself with a sparkling new career in real estate according to Town and Country Magazine. She’s the successful author of two novels, and runs the website KKBLoves.com, which is described by her as “a marketplace that sells my most coveted items.’
Caroline Manzo, Real Housewives of New Jersey
After spending five seasons as a beloved gem on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Caroline got her own show, the hilarious Manzo’d With Children. Although Manzo’d has ended, Caroline has since written a book, and launched a soap company called The Friendly Monkey Soap Company. Allegedly she is still not on speaking terms with her former costar Dina, but on the bright side, she is now a grandmother.
Taylor Armstrong, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Taylor starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from seasons 1-3. Post-show appearance, Armstrong’s husband Russell died by suicide, and she has since found love and married again with attorney John Bluher in 2014. Most notably, she is very involved in raising awareness for domestic violence.
What we wouldn’t give to have some of these fab ladies back on our screens, if only to amp up some of the drama. Who would be your top pick to get back on Real Housewives? Let us know in the comments!
