Real Housewives of New York star, Luann de Lesseps, has had a hard time sticking to the terms of her probation and has broken her sobriety.

Since her arrest in December of 2017, the Real Housewives of New York leading lady, Luann de Lesseps, has had trouble staying away from alcohol.  For the second time, she has admitted to drinking alcohol after failing a test in late April.  She has also not attended the required AA meetings.

Though she was required to attend two meetings a week, she has only provided documents for five meetings in total.

In 2018, she agreed to a plea deal in order to avoid jail time, accepting the terms of one year of probation. In addition to not drinking, she was to complete 50 hours of community service, attend a Mother’s Against Drunk Driving (MADD) course, and attend Alcoholics Anonymous classes every week.

After missing the Season 10 RHONY reunion because she was in rehab for the second time, she has been trying to remain sober during the cast trip, as well as during her Cabaret shows.

What’s next for Luann?

Luann told People recently, “I take my sobriety very seriously and like many in my situation, it is a daily struggle. I remain committed to doing whatever it takes to continue living a healthy sober lifestyle.”

She is scheduled to get off the year long probation on August 28th, but it is unclear what the consequences might be for her actions.

Luann declined to check back into a rehab center due to her Cabaret show touring schedule, and also said she preferred to not wear an ankle monitor as she finds the device “intrusive.”

In an upcoming episode of RHONY, her co-star Bethenny Frankel is shown shouting at Luann, “Cabaret! Cabaret! Cabaret! Life is not a cabaret!”  It’s unsure what led up to this explosive argument, but we have a feeling it has to do with the cabaret.

We wish Luann all the best and hope she can complete her probation successfully.  The reunion, and the show, are not the same without the Countess.

The Real Housewives of New York are back Wednesday at 9 PM ET on Bravo.  Do you think Bethenny freaked out for no reason, or does she have the right to be upset with Luann?  Let us know in the comments.
