Bethenny Frankel and her Season 11 RHONY friendships

Season 10 of RHONY brought us an unexpected, but lengthy fight involving Bethenny Frankel.  Have Bethenny’s friendships evolved in the new season?

Carole Radziwill was a main cast member of The Real Housewives of New York from seasons five through 10, while Bethenny Frankel has been on RHONY from Seasons 1-3, and returned for Seasons 7-11 (the current season).

Around July, Carole decided she was leaving RHONY to pursue other avenues.

Since then, both ladies have had tough years.  Carole lost her mother-in-law, Lee Radziwill, on February 15, 2019, while Bethenny lost her boyfriend Dennis Shields on August 10, 2018.

According to Bravo, Carole sent Bethenny a hand-written note after Dennis passed away.  As Carole said “I know she probably went through a really hard time. I know what that’s like, you don’t wish that on anyone.”

On this season of RHONY, we have seen Bethenny working on her friendships with the other women.  She helped Luann get into rehab and supported her throughout the start of that process.  We saw her and Dorinda having nice conversations in the Berkshires, and she’s even dating someone new. On the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny and Sonja go to Brooklyn to look at art, as well as birds. They even pass a Costco on the way!

Decked out in a sparkly blue and green zip up jacket, Bethenny marvels at the animals and the artwork by Hunt Slonem.

“Bethenny has been there for me, not online in my personal life, but my business life. I know she’s been collecting some art and I wanted to share Hunt Slonem with her,” Sonja confessed.

In this moment, we see Sonja opening up a part of her life to Bethenny that she doesn’t share with many people.  If nothing else, she made friends with the birds.

On the Bright Side

Since the loss of Dennis, Bethenny seems to have taken a softer approach to life.  In the Season 11 opener, she said “Life can be sad, so I guess the bottom line is enjoy it,” and toasted her friends.

I don’t think we will see Carole and Bethenny hanging out anytime soon, but it seems Bethenny has focused her attention on strengthening the friendships she already has.
