Real Housewives Of New York Recap: Does Anyone Sea a RHONY Theme Here?
By Amanda Cline
If you thought we had moved past the Real Housewives of New York room drama, you would be wrong, as revealed in ‘Sleeping With the Fishes.’
Real Housewives Of New York brought the drama this week once more!
Back at the restaurant in the Berkshires, the women continue discussing who gets to sleep in what room. Luann excuses herself from the table and asks the concierge if there is room at the hotel, presumably so she does not have to sleep with fishes.
“If you see me battling a swordfish, you’ll know why I’m staying” she tells the helpful hotel employee. In the end, she agrees to stay at Blue Stone Manor.
It is possible Luann is suffering from an undiagnosed fear of fish, or ichthyophobia.
Berkshires host of the year, Dorinda, has all sorts of activities planned for these 48 hours: green juice, yoga, massages, Ventfort hall, and the Bare Naked Chef is coming to cook a naked six course meal. Her only misstep is not having enough rooms to appease the mermaids of RHONY.
Dorinda shows Barbara to her room and she is not thrilled to be sleeping with the fishes, if you will. Dorinda tells her the fish room cost $250,000 to decorate. She even says the one large fish was $12,000. This is a very expensive aquatic room and Dorinda obviously likes the decor.
When Bethenny arrives, she is “chill.” This is a welcome attitude after all the architectural arguments. “I’ll stay in the fish room. I’m allergic to fish but I’ll stay there.”
At the end of the episode, though we have not moved on from the room rodeo, Sonja has is very upset about the tour of Ventfort Hall. This home in particular was built in 1893 for Sarah Morgan, the sister of J.P. Morgan.
And as Bravo noted, Sonja is a rather tipsy girl.
Dorinda probably thought touring a Morgan Estate would make Sonja feel better about her townhome situation, but it seems to have done the opposite. Or did Dorinda do it on purpose, knowing how intensely Sonja feels about her family name?
We’re left with another cliffhanger this week, The Real Housewives of New York City will be back next Wednesday at 8/7c on Bravo.
