Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent credits Alcoholics Anonymous for saving her life, but there’s a disconnect between her praise and the program rules!

Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent has opened up about alcohol addiction and what saved her life.

But here’s the part of the program that she credits, Alcoholics Anonymous, that Lala feels leaves her between a rock and a hard place: The program is serious about the “anonymous” aspect of the program. However, Kent has a defense in place. Read on to find out what she says.

Lala Kent talks alcoholism at Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in Las Vegas

Lala told Page Six that she felt “so free” after admitting to herself that she is an alcoholic.

The occasion: The Vanderpump Cocktail Garden opening party in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Kent insisted that she has “never been happier” than since getting sober and attending Alcoholics Anonymous for help.

However, she noted that life isn’t all flowers, rainbows, and puppies since she stopped drinking. But although she still has her “struggles,” Lala sees a big difference.

“I see the light at the end of the tunnel every single day,” said Kent.

"If I have a bad day I know it’s gonna be okay tomorrow. So I wake up with the same goal every day — don’t have a drink."

Lala Kent knows alcohol addiction program is all about being anonymous, but…

As for why the Vanderpump Rules star, 28, is talking about her participation in Alcoholics Anonymous despite the program guideline about anonymity, Lala explained she’s doing it to help others.

Kent believes that a generation exists, which she labels “my generation,” who continues to struggle with addiction. She feels strongly that “they need to know about this program” that she believes is saving her life.

Declaring that she swears “by the program of AA,” the Vanderpump Rules star expressed some concern that “old-timers” in Alcoholics Anonymous will “hate” her for discussing the anonymous program.

But that’s not going to stop Kent from her desire to help others with her honesty. What do you think about Lala Kent’s openness regarding her alcoholism and the program? Share your thoughts in our comments section.
