RHONY: Friendship trajectories take interesting turns in a Things Are Going Southampton

The Real Housewives of New York (RHONY) are all in Southampton for the weekend, divided by hair color, they conquer.

The drama shows no signs of slowing down in the second episode of The Real Housewives of New York (RHONY) with the housewives divided by hair color in , “Things Are Going Southampton.”

Repping Team Blonde are Tinsley Mortimer, Sonja Morgan and Sonja’s hair arrive to Ramona Singer’s house.  Dorinda Medley is already there, complete with mermaid tails and shell tops for the four of them to wear for a photo shoot. Meanwhile, team Brunette features Bethenny Frankel, Luann de Lesseps, and Barbara Kavovit are together at Bethenny’s house off the highway.  Bethenny is definitely still grieving, Luann is sober, and Barbara is just there being a good friend.

Cue phone call #1

Sonja calls Luann and Luann calls her a traitor.  On the phone call, Luann asks if Sonja is coming to dinner with them. This dinner is Lu’s “intervention dinner celebration.”  Sonja is invited though she wasn’t part of the intervention.

Sonja makes an observation: “It’s so strange because I’m going to dinner with the brunettes, but I’m staying with the blonde bombshells. And, the two shall not meet.”

Barbara mentions she is having a clam bake, Sonja invites Ramona, Barbara doesn’t want Dorinda there.  Ramona is not invited to the Intervention Dinner Celebration.

Still following?

Now the two groups stand as: Sonja, Bethenny, Barbara and Luann.

At the other dinner, we have Tinsley and Dorinda, Ramona.

Back at the Intervention Dinner Celebration, we learn more about what led to Luann’s second trip to rehab.  Apparently, Luann was asking people for a casual $6 million dollars to purchase a home.  The people at this dinner, mostly Bethenny and Barbara, rallied around her made her return to rehab for her own good. “I owe you for the rest of my life,” she tells the ladies.  I have a feeling this graciousness will not last too long.

At this point, we learn Sonja, Tinsley and Ramona are invited to Barbara’s clam bake, but Dorinda is not.  It was requested that Dorinda give Luann a call to apologize prior to attending the clam bake.

Cue phone call #2 

Dorinda calls Barbara to investigate the Clam Bake attendee list.  Dorinda wants Luann to call her, Luann wants Dorinda to call her.  Dorinda sends Luann a Tyler Perry quote about forgiveness. No one calls anyone. We remain divided by hair color and opinion.

Barbara mentions she really just wants everyone to get along at her party, which most certainly will not happen. The episode ends before the party really begins, but the preview for next week shows the RHONY ladies actually mingling together more instead of remaining divided.
