Ranking The Real Housewives of New York

The Real Housewives of New York City are coming back March 6 for an all new explosive season. How fun would it be to do a Power Ranking for the NY Housewives as we prepare for their return?

Over the last 11 seasons, the Real Housewives of New York City have given us laughs, tears, and loads of drama. Ranking The Real Housewives of New York is definitely a tall task. Some like Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps have been on since the very beginning of the show. While others like Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer joined well into the series. However not all Housewives are created equally. Some are at the top of their game, and other’s seem to be floundering in their current roles. Hence our very first Real Housewives of New York City Power Ranking.

6. Tinsley Mortimer 

Seasons Active: 9-Present

Tinsley’s storyline on the show has been a very annoying one. Her first season was spent living with Sonja Morgan, and then fighting with Sonja about if she was a gracious guest. Her back and forth relationship with boyfriend Scott is exhausting as well. Also, the way she let Carole Radziwill totally dismiss their friendship and walk on her was cringe worthy at last year’s reunion. The best thing Tinsley ever gave us was when she cried over her frozen embryos in a wedding dress. Maybe next time we are Ranking the Real Housewives of New York, she’ll be higher!

5. Sonja Morgan

Seasons Active: 3-Present

We are still bitter we never got that toaster oven. Sonja is the perfect hot mess that we love to watch. She would rank higher on the list, but her drama has been very repetitive over the last few seasons. She had a major grudge toward Dorinda and Tinsley it seems, and we just want something new from her. Can we perhaps get some new delusional business ideas? Give us something.

4. Ramona Singer

Seasons Active: 1-Present

The Singer stinger is always lurking and deadly when used against her enemies. We loved seeing her go toe to toe with Bethenny Frankel over the last few seasons, but Ramona has been kind of stagnant over the last few seasons. Like Sonja, it’s kind of the been there seen that kind of thing. Ramona is never afraid to speak her mind or even go up against her own close friends, but others on our list are majorly outperforming her and giving us more iconic moments.

3. Luann de Lesseps

Seasons Active: 1-Present

Luann was Season 10. She was ARRESTED, had epic fights with Ramona and Dorinda, and didn’t show up to the reunion because she was in REHAB. We do not deserve the Countess. Luann didn’t rank in our Top 2 because of some bits and pieces we saw in the trailer. It seems like she might be back on her high horse this season, and we are NOT about that. In the trailer Luann seems to only want to talk about her cabaret show, and that will get old quick. Give us Season 10 Luann again!

2. Dorinda Medley

Seasons Active: 7-Present

CLIP! CLIP! CLIP! Dorinda always makes it nice, and we are SO grateful to her. She completely loses her s**t every time alcohol is invovled, and it’s the stuff reality television dreams are made of. When ranking the Real Housewives of New York we factored in their drama, humor, and likability. Dorinda excels at all of those. She’s sane enough to not be hated by the fans, super dramatic when she unleashes, and her catchphrases are legendary at this point. Keep doing you Dorinda!

1. Bethenny Frankel

Seasons Active: 1-3, 7-Present

Bethenny Frankel is the perfect prototype for what a Real Housewife should be. Bethenny was the ONLY logical choice for number one spot when ranking the Real Housewives of New York. Catchphrases? Check. In your face drama? Check. Dramatic personal life? Check. Humor? Check. You get it. Bethenny checks all of the boxes to be the number one NYC wife. The trailer from the new season shows that she at it again in tip top shape. Thank you Bethenny for all you have given us and continue to give. You are OUR champion.
