Bethenny Frankel was supposedly asked by Dennis’ wife Jill to stay away from the funeral in Long Island. RHONY star was spotted there anyways.

Bethenny Frankel recently gave her fans an update on how she’s doing. The Real Housewives of New York star revealed that she was struggling to breathe and deal with her loss, as she lost Dennis Shields suddenly to a drug overdose a few weeks ago. It was a Friday when Bethenny learned that Dennis had accidentally overdosed on prescription medication and was unable to be saved.

It was just three days later that Bethenny Frankel was spotted attending his funeral in Long Island. She revealed she was heartbroken over the loss of Dennis, but also took the time to grieve in private. On Twitter, she revealed she was thankful for fans giving her the time and space to heal. She told her The Real Housewives of New York fans that it was excruciating to deal with a sudden death.

Bethenny also revealed that “our relationship is current so it’s painfully raw.” It’s uncertain whether she meant that they were back on. They had been dating on-off for about four years.

Dennis’ estranged wife Jill attended the funeral with their children. Even though there was no drama to report from the funeral, sources are now saying that Bethenny was asked to stay away from the funeral altogether.

When Dennis and Bethenny started dating, she actually called one of his daughters while filming the reunion special to clear up any rumors that she was dating a married man. It was clear that Bethenny had a good relationship with his kids and Dennis’ estranged wife had also moved on. It doesn’t make sense that she was banned from the funeral.

What do you think about Bethenny Frankel’s update? Do you think she was asked to stay away from the funeral?
