Luann de Lesseps calls money her friends on Instagram after she was served last month with a lawsuit from her kids and ex-husband over money.

Luann de Lesseps was served with a lawsuit last month over money. The lawsuit came from her ex-husband and her children who claimed that Luann had spent the money that was supposed to go into a trust fund for the kids. They claimed she had spent millions of dollars on herself and her home rather than save the money for the kids.

One can imagine that her ex-husband and children had conversations with Luann about the money before filing a lawsuit against her, where they may not have gotten the answers they were looking for. After the lawsuit, Luann relapsed and went back into rehab for a few days before leaving again to focus on work.

This is why she wasn’t present for The Real Housewives of New York reunion special, which starts airing on Wednesday on Bravo. But it sounds like Luann de Lesseps doesn’t take it seriously as she’s now calling money her best friend.

In an Instagram post promoting her cabaret show, Countess and Friends, she calls money her friend. It seems like an odd comment, as money appears to be the reason why she’s being sued by her children and ex-husband. If she had saved the money they had agreed to, she wouldn’t be the focus of a lawsuit right now.

It almost seems that she’s making a mockery of the lawsuit as she has with rehab. She jokes about rehab being a retreat for herself in her show, and fans don’t think she’s taking her drinking problem seriously. She has been accused of only going to rehab to prove to the judge – and now possibly her family – that she’s doing what she can to get back on track. Her co-stars may have differing opinions on the reunion special.
