Bethenny Frankel surprised everyone when she announced that she was authorized to speak on Luann de Lesseps’ behalf as she checked herself into rehab this week. Bethenny had previously helped Luann while in Connecticut on this season of The Real Housewives of New York, as Luann’s publicist was trying to battle rumors that she was drinking shortly after getting out of rehab. It was a photo from Ramona Singer that began the entire spectacle but Bethenny came to her rescue.

Frankel told The Real Housewives of New York viewers that she understood the importance of court dates, staying positive and most importantly, staying out of trouble. Perhaps, Luann wanted Bethenny to help her out again as she managed to get out of trouble earlier this year. But fans are a bit confused about Bethenny’s role in everything.

It seems that Luann is trusting Bethenny Frankel to keep everything under wraps, as she deals with this new family stress. Frankel will probably speak about Luann’s situation on the reunion special, which films today. Fans should expect Bethenny to stay coy about everything, and not reveal too many details about her legal situation.
