Will Lydia McLaughlin have a baby girl soon with husband Doug?

Lydia McLaughlin was against having four kids, but her husband really wants a daughter. She’d consider it – so what is happening with that?

Lydia McLaughlin told her husband Doug McLaughlin that she was done having children. She thought that two kids were enough, but they still decided to go ahead with a third after she left The Real Housewives of Orange County behind the first time. These days, Lydia is keeping her hands full with three kids and while her husband really wants a baby girl, it sounds like she’s happy with just the three. During filming, she asked her husband to get a vasectomy so they didn’t have to worry about getting pregnant.

During this time, Lydia McLaughlin also got her husband to freeze some sperm – just in case. While filming The Real Housewives of Orange County, Lydia hinted that she could be persuaded to get pregnant with a baby girl. However, it has been months since they wrapped up the show and there has been no baby news from the McLaughlin camp. Is it possible that they aren’t moving forward with their baby girl?

Of course, these two don’t have to worry about money so that’s not why they haven’t moved forward with the procedure. It’s possible that Lydia doesn’t want to get pregnant again and have to raise another baby.

Perhaps Doug isn’t as hands-on as she would like, especially with so many younger children. Maybe three is indeed more than enough for them if they also want time for each other. After Lydia left the show, she was indirectly involved with some drama over gay comments. Tamra had hinted that Doug needed to come out of the closet, something that Lydia chose not to address.
