Lydia McLaughlin ignores Tamra’s comments about Doug – for now

Lydia McLaughlin hasn’t answered to the accusations that her husband’s Doug is gay. Instead, she’s with her family in Mexico, but fans are reaching out.

Lydia McLaughlin hasn’t said anything about her former co-star, Tamra Judge, as she recently made some comments about her during a recent interview. Judge recently talked about Lydia to Heather McDonald during a juicy interview. During the interview, McLaughlin’s husband Doug became the topic of conversation. Here, Tamra said that Doug needed to come out of the closet and admit that he was gay. When fans heard Tamra’s comments, they were shocked for various reasons. Lydia has yet to respond but fans have had plenty to say.

Firstly, fans remember the time that Tamra learned that Vicki Gunvalson had called Eddie Judge gay on a previous season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. At the time, Tamra was furious. She couldn’t believe that a friend would spread these rumors about her husband. Now, she’s doing the exact same thing, even though she may claim she did it as a joke whereas Vicki did it to hurt her. Regardless, both comments are hurtful and unnecessary.

Second, Lydia McLaughlin was a huge support for Tamra after she started to open up about her parental alienation case. When Lydia returned to the show, she invited Judge to her bible study and Tamra found herself loved by everyone. Why would she stab a friend in the back like that?

Third, it’s no secret that people have called the ladies of The Real Housewives franchise homophobic. This comment doesn’t apply to everyone, but it does seem that some people like to out others. If Lydia McLaughlin’s husband happens to be gay, it seems wrong for Tamra to bring it up. She may face criticism from the LGBTQ community for her comments, even though she may have said those things to bond with listeners.
