Monique Samuels shares powerful speech on domestic violence
By Mary Jane
Monique Samuels reveals she was a victim of domestic violence and she shared parts of her speech on social media this weekend for RHOP fans to see.
Monique Samuels seems to be very focused when it comes to work, charity, family, and love. The Real Housewives of Potomac star is learning that her co-stars can’t always be trusted, especially when it comes to rumors. This season, Samuels was quickly accused of drinking while under the influence as she crashed into a tree after falling asleep at the wheel. Since she came from lunch with Ashley Darby, Darby was quick to tell all the ladies that Monique had about four martinis. Samuels was furious that she was being labeled this way.
But it sounds like Monique Samuels has other major issues she would like to discuss, including domestic violence. This weekend, Monique shared a video of her giving a speech about domestic violence. It doesn’t sound like this speech will be on The Real Housewives of Potomac since the show has wrapped, but it is a noteworthy speech about how to move on from domestic violence. In the short clip, she doesn’t reveal her domestic abuse situation, but it sounds like she does have some experience with it.
Of course, it doesn’t sound like the domestic violence has anything to do with her current husband. Monique Samuels hasn’t really talked about her past on the show, but it’s quite possible that she experienced a violent relationship prior to meeting her husband.

On the show, Monique doesn’t really deal with serious issues, such as Karen Huger’s tax issues. Instead, it appears to be mother-in-law issues and trust issues when it comes to her co-stars.
