Bethenny Frankel just opened up about the powerful strategy she’s using for BStrong that makes her charity such a success. And it actually makes sense.

Bethenny Frankel decided that she wanted to do more with her platform last year and when a hurricane tore through Texas, she knew what she wanted. She started providing help to those in need and even visited the affected areas. Within weeks, another hurricane hit both Florida and Puerto Rico. While there was a help to find for Florida, Puerto Rico was left behind. Frankel knew she wanted to do something, so she chose to help out the best way she knew.

She started gathering donations from The Real Housewives of New York viewers, friends, companies, and other generous people. She also got big donors to help out with ships and private planes, so they could get supplies to the people in need. On the show, fans have seen how she’s distributing cash cards for people in need, and this has caused people to question her strategy. Why isn’t she working with major organizations who claim they are helping as well?

On Twitter, Bethenny Frankel clearly explained her BStrong approach to the hurricane relief. She’s not donating to another organization because she doesn’t know where the money is going. In addition, she doesn’t want to use the donations for overhead. Instead, by giving the monetary donations to the people in need, she knows she’s making a difference in someone’s life.

She also pointed out that fans need to be aware of scammers when they are donating money, which is why giving the money directly to people in need eliminates many issues. It makes sense that she’s doing this.
