Dorinda Medley surprised Bethenny Frankel with the Nutcracker for her daughter Bryn, but it sounds like she wanted more from Frankel.

Dorinda Medley seemed rather surprised that she didn’t receive an actual “thank you” from Bethenny Frankel during Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York. Dorinda had pulled some strings to help Bethenny get a life-size Nutcracker for her daughter Bryn. Frankel had previously said that her daughter had seen the Nutcracker and had wanted it for herself. But when Bethenny had gone back to get it, it was gone.

It was Dorinda Medley who helped her The Real Housewives of New York co-star find the Nutcracker. This was all documented on Wednesday’s episode of the show, and their co-stars seemed to make it a big deal that Bethenny didn’t say thanks to her right when it arrived. But based on how production made it look, it seemed like Dorinda had paid for it and had made the arrangement to get it to New York. However, that wasn’t the case at all.

In fact, Medley explains that she used her contacts at Home Goods to get someone who could get a life-size Nutcracker. When she had found it, she handed the contact information over to Bethenny, who then made the arrangement. On Twitter, Dorinda explains that she didn’t pay for it and she’s unsure of how this became a thing.

But it does seem like production wanted to show that Dorinda had paid for it, including making Bethenny seem unappreciative of Medley pulling the strings. It was Carole Radziwill who kept asking why Frankel didn’t say thank you, even though she told Dorinda that she saved Christmas.

What do you think about this story? Do you think Dorinda Medley did everything right and production painted a different picture?
