Bethenny Frankel gets into fight with TV host over Puerto Rico
By Mary Jane
Bethenny Frankel recently called out The View host for comments made about Puerto Rico. Then, Bethenny was slammed for wanting credit. What’s going on?
Bethenny Frankel has made a tremendous effort in getting Puerto Rico back to where it was before the massive hurricanes that tore through the country just last year. The U.S. Government did very little to help the people of Puerto Rico rebuild, and Bethenny felt that someone should step up to the plate. As she explained on The Real Housewives of New York, she never asked anyone whether she could help out. She simply started gathering donations and soon, people were donating private planes and ships to transport goods to the island.
While Bethenny Frankel has talked about her charitable work on The Real Housewives of New York, it sounds like some people are bitter over the fact that Frankel is taking so much pride and responsibility for the work. When Sunny Hostin and her The View co-stars decided to talk about Bethenny’s trip that was documented on the show. As it turns out, Sunny thought Bethenny saw herself as a savior of Puerto Rico, even though only one trip was shown.
Bethenny Frankel explained that she had been there over 6 times, had donated over $50 million in relief, and handed out over $1 million in cash to the people of the island. Frankel also pointed out that the island is small, so if another organization was doing major work there, she would know. Sadly, Sunny decided she couldn’t stay silent and called Frankel out for seeing herself as the savior of Puerto Rico.

It should be mentioned that Sunny had given herself credit for silently supporting Puerto Rico. Perhaps, someone is bitter about the fact that Bethenny Frankel has managed to find success in many ways. She recently showed off her newest apartment in New York City and it is gorgeous.
What do you think of Bethenny Frankel getting into a heated discussion about Puerto Rico?
