Danielle Staub says Siggy Flicker’s edit was fair — ‘No edits are unfair’

Following Part 1 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 8 reunion, Danielle Staub is taking shots at Siggy Flicker claim that she was treated unfairly. 

Siggy Flicker quit Real Housewives of New Jersey after having a rough time during Season 8. She was depicted as being a little bit crazy after the cake throwing incident at the beginning of the season and it was downhill from there.

After giving her notice, Siggy took aim at the producers, claiming that Sirens Media intentionally edited scenes to make it look like Siggy was losing her mind without giving the context of the situation.

In an interview on the Domenick Nati Show, Danelle Staub discussed the Siggy Flicker drama and made it clear that there is no such thing as an unfair edit. When asked if Siggy was made to look bad, Danielle said, “If you don’t do it and you don’t say it, they can’t put it on film.”

"“You’re always risking the chance of whatever you do on camera airing on the show so don’t do it if you really don’t want it out there. And then don’t turn around and blame people for it. S0 no, she didn’t get an unfair edit. I think blaming producers and blaming an edit and saying it’s a bad edit is truly unfair to the producers. So yes, she did do those things and she said those things and it did air and that’s how she is….unfortunately.”"

That is true to a point. After all, SIggy did throw herself on the floor and embarrass Melissa Gorga at her party. However, it’s entirely possible that production or even the other RHONJ castmates provocations weren’t shared. Is it fair to show the reaction without showing what she was reacting to?

It’s no secret that production is going to edit episodes to bring the most drama possible. Those who don’t bring the drama also don’t usually get called back for further seasons. After this last season, Sirens Media made Siggy look like such a fool that she opted not to return anyway.

It’s also worth pointing out that Danielle Staub is in tight with Dorothy Toran from SIrens Media. So naturally, she’s not going to want to side with Siggy and say the edit was unfair even if they were getting along. Based on the rest of Danielle’s interview. it’s pretty clear there’s no love lost between herself and Siggy. She even went so far as to say that she loves everyone on the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast except for Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania.
