Luann de Lesseps offers apology after arrest amid rumors she may have a drinking problem

After a rough start to Christmas Eve, Luann de Lesseps offers an apology.

Luann de Lesseps was arrested in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve. She was having some fun in Palm Beach when things went south quickly. Drinking has been somewhat of a thing for Luann for a while. She has been filmed on RHONY drunk several times, most notably when she ended up in the bush while talking to Ramona Singer. She was also accused of doing some shady things while drinking on vacation with the women a few seasons ago (anyone remember the pirate guy?).

It looks like the former Countess may be a little embarrassed, but not enough to avoid talking about the entire situation. Luann de Lesseps issued a Twitter apology to anyone she may have offended or hurt by her actions.

This is likely so Bravo won’t dump her, but also so she can use her divorce as an excuse. Remember, she acted like it was a mutual split, though many suspected it wasn’t.

Despite getting married last year, the marriage to Tom D’Agostino only lasted seven months. Rumors of cheating plagued the couple, and he did kiss another woman while the two were engaged. Luann de Lesseps didn’t leave Tom after Bethenny Frankel showed her the evidence and now, she will have to face the ladies for another season as a single woman.

It looks like Luann de Lesseps is facing three felony charges, but did not have to post bail. She will be returning to court on January 25.

It was insinuated by the judge that the RHONY star may have a drinking problem. If that is the case, she may check herself into a rehab program in order to avoid being punished. de Lesseps did hurt a police officer while resisting arrest, so an example could be made of her.

While sunshine and roses are how she portrayed her life, it looks like things from her marriage are still haunting her. Luann de Lesseps was supposed to go out of town for the new year celebration, but it is unclear whether or not that will happen at this point.
