Kandi Burruss claps back at RHOA fans who want her to forgive Porsha Williams

Quite a few RHOA fans think Kandi Burruss should forgive Porsha Williams but she’s not having it.

Season 9 of Real Housewives of Atlanta was really rough for Kandi Burruss. She spent most of the season facing rumors that she and her husband, Todd Tucker, had commented that they wanted to drug and rape Porsha Williams.

Of course, Porsha didn’t start that rumor herself. Her former best friend Phaedra Parks did. She did have a huge hand in the damage that awful RHOA rumor did to Kandi’s reputation though. Not to mention that it could have really been problematic for Kandi if more people had taken it seriously.

As we already know, Phaedra Parks wasn’t asked back for Season 10 of RHOA because of the rumor she spread. Initially, she told Porsha that she heard it come right from Kandi’s mouth.

However, during the RHOA reunion, it was revealed that Phaedra heard the rumor from someone else entirely and only told Porsha that she heard Kandi say it. That’s a huge part of why Porsha is so angry and why she’s no longer friends with Phaedra Parks.

In the aftermath, Porsha Williams did apologize to Kandi Burruss for the part she played in all of the drama last season. While she didn’t start the rumor, Porsha had no problem spreading it and villainizing Kandi in the process.

And I get it, Porsha didn’t start the rumor. She trusted her best friend, who let her down in a major way. That still doesn’t mean that Kandi Burruss needs to forgive and forget.

On Season 10 of RHOA, things have been really awkward between Kandi and Porsha. They both have been showing up for the get togethers and the girls’ trip but Kandi is clearly not comfortable spending time with Porsha and she isn’t trying to buddy up.

Many feel like Kandi Burruss should just suck it up and be friendly with Porsha Williams for the sake of the show and just to make things less uncomfortable all around. To that, Kandi says that her critical RHOA fans need to just back off. She’ll forgive if and when she is ready and right now, she is not ready.

To get her point across, Kandi took to Instagram and sent a message that she’s already deleted. In the age of the internet though, she should already know that screenshots abound and we all know how she feels.

As Bravo reported, Kandi wrote took to Instagram and wrote the following:

“I normally don’t post people’s comments but @grammarci really explained how I feel. For those who watch #RHOA & say I should just get over the false accusations that Porsha said about me last year need to leave me alone,” Kandi wrote. “You can’t just falsely accuse someone of trying to drug you & take advantage of you on camera with the intent of defaming them & think it’s just gonna be ok a month later. I’m still dealing with trolls who have taken what she said & run with it even though the truth came out that it was a lie.”

That sounds fair. Keeping in mind that all of this came out just months ago and Kandi Burruss is still trying to heal, maybe she’s got a point about RHOA fans trying to put a timeline on her ability to forgive.

As for Porsha Williams, she already made it clear that she wants to move past the huge drama from last season. She is sorry that she believed Phaedra over Kandi, especially when she used to be great friends with both women.

Hopefully, Kandi will be able to move past it all and forgive Porsha at some point. However, she is absolutely right that she gets to take as long as she wants. Or she could opt to never forgive Porsha and never be friends again. Considering the magnitude of the rumors that were spread about her, that would be perfectly understandable too.
